This blog is an repository for my projects, thoughts, ideas, ramblings, and anything in between. If I have something I think is worth sharing, I’ll put it on here. I’m pretty busy most of the time, but hopefully I’ll be able to keep adding content.
The blog itself is powered by octopress and licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution Share-Alike 3.0 license. The actual projects are always open-source, but the license varies and can be found attached to the code in the github repo.
My name is Charles Dawson, programmer, engineer, current high school junior, and builder of cool things. To build these cool things I use many smaller, yet equally cool, things such as Python, Ruby (incl. Rails), Java, Arduinos, 3D-printers, angle grinders, and ninja-like command-prompt skills. I’m always on the lookout for new cool things, and there’s nothing better than a project that gives me an excuse to learn something awesome.
Bigger projects I’m working on at the moment (that will hopefully make their way onto the site eventually):
Building a basic site with Rails
Leading my high-school engineering team (this year we’re building an underwater robot, code here)
Posts I’m proud of
I realize that writing a language every week results in both good an bad posts. To help separate the former from the latter, here are some of my posts that I am particularly proud of, either for their writing or for their programming.
